A very dubious report from the BBC, apparently sourced from AFP -
Pitcher plant in France eats bee-killing Asian hornets
Doesn't eat bees and wasps?
A 'European adaptation'??? This comes from 'The head of a botanical garden in Nantes'... WTF!
As far as I can see, this story has been going around since mid-June. I have been unable to locate an AFP article. I did however find this video of the man who appears to be responsible for it -

The head of a botanical garden in Nantes, western France, says the pitcher plant Sarracenia devours Asian hornets - but not European hornets. Nor does it eat bees or wasps.

The trap appears to be a European adaptation, as Asian hornets do not exist in Sarracenia's native Massachusetts, in the eastern US.
