Darlingtonia californica 'Goliath'





Some years ago a friend mentioned to me that the best Darlingtonia she'd ever seen was grown as a windowsill plant. So by way of experiment this plant has been growing on my kitchen windowsill for the last year. So far so good. It emerged from dormancy at the same time as those growing outside and seems quite happy where it is.

I do like the near transparent appearance of the hood shown in these photos.
