I bought a couple of SunBlaster T5 lamps two or three years ago and thought I would add some of the new SunBlaster reflectors. Unfortunately they seem to be designed for a later style of lamp fixture. I have also got some nlite T5 lamps and the reflectors can be made to fit by running some double sided tape along the nlite fixture and sticking the reflector in place.
I think the reflectors are worth considering. They bounce the light that would otherwise be wasted towards plants. It could mean that you only need half the number of lamps to achieve the same light intensity.
I am using the lamps to grow Venus Flytrap seeds in a propagator down in my cellar. I am also having a go at growing some Butterworts from seed. And my Jaws Smiley that was fading away has revived and is making a recovery. It was getting clobbered with Botrytis but contrary to what people are saying I sprayed it with rain water a few times and the problem has gone.
