Rhizome rot?

I've lost a couple of Sarracenia this winter. One had turned all mushy at the crown, so naturally, I began to inspect all my plants for signs of infection and necrosis. Thankfully, most look fine (and many are spiking), but my 'Lynda Butt' has some brown tips on the largest crown. I removed it from its pot and cleaned it off, and the rhizome looks healthy with white bits all way down.

But the brown points still have me worried. Is this something I need to act upon, or is it natural?
