goe Stephen Morley Cephalotus clone numbers
I have decided to set about numbering my Cephalotus clones. I wish I had done it before, to help avoid confusion with informal names of plants, and feel it would have helped maintain clarity with regard to unpublished and informal Cephalotus clone names. Hopefully it will help maintain provenance of plants going forward, e.g. where plants described as vigorous, clumping have been sold on eBay but are not related to a plant I described informally as "vigorous clumping"; now if you have goe_C001, which is traceable to me, then you will know that it is the same genetic material.
This is my first attempt at numbering, still several clones to do...
goe_C001 vigorous, clumping clone from Martin Cheek
goe_C002 clone from Dudley Watts large, dark pitchers
goe_C003 'Eden Black' cultivar
goe_C004 "Tank Ceph 2", sister plant to 'Eden Black'
goe_C005 “German Giant” (“True Giant”? from Wistuba)
goe_C006 clone from Julie Jones, large pitchers
goe_C007 ‘Hummer’s Giant’
goe_C008 “Big Boy” (Fred Green large clone from early 1980s)
